About Prestige Music.....
Coming originally from the borders of Northern Ireland set me up in good stead for the appreciation and learning of Music.
To begin with, my first love was Brass Bands and I enjoyed National success with my school band at a very young age. I then went on to enjoy similar success with the local town band with whom I still enjoy going to play with upon a visit "home".
Since being in England I have enjoyed fulfilling a childhood ambition by playing for the world famous Black Dyke Band for the past 10 years. I have won every major title there is to be won (including National Finals of Great Britain, British Open and Europeans). As a member of this prestigious ensemble I have been lucky enough to tour many parts of the world including America, Bermuda, Canada, Australia and Europe. I have also played in many famous concert halls such as the Royal Albert Hall in London and Sydney Opera House in Australia.
A self-taught Pianist, I have played as a solo artist and also as part of groups on either side of the water. I have especially always had a great love for Keyboards/Synthesizers and how to create the best sounds out of these fantastic instruments. Sequencing is also an essential part of what I do and I aim to do this with the utmost finesse when creating my own accompaniments.
Finally, there was not many kids at my school who didn't learn the Penny Whistle in some way, shape or form. I had great admiration for such artists as Paddy Maloney (The Chieftains) and strived to be able to play like them. As an instrument I have kept with over the years I have developed my own style which adds a great personal touch when performing under Prestige Music.
